We've bought a house...

Hairless Kiss ... Paul and I at my uncle's 40th birthday party. We all wore skin caps on our heads to honor him and his loss of hair due to old age.

Here is a picture of us outside grandma's house. We went down to help roof her house, however all my uncles had the job done, so we helped pick up. It was really cold outside, so my sister and I raided grandma's coat closet and found some of her old coats to wear. This was one of them, we even found a 21 year old check in the pocket that had never been cashed.

Here is a picture of Paul grilling hamburgers outside my school for a fundraiser for a 7th grade student of mine that passed away this summer. We raised over $5000 that night. We also walked away with a new red bike for our niece in the raffle drawing.

At my Uncle Jeff's welcome home party from Afghanistan, the weather was anything but nice. The kids were so hot Uncle Rick let them run through the sprinkler. Paul thought that he would join in too!

Uncle Paul enjoys his time with his niece Brynn.

Seeing our new niece Brynn grow over the past months has been a great blessing. She is such a sweetheart and we enjoy every minute with her as a new aunt and uncle.

We have been enjoying our summer with our trips out to the Mississippi River. We both love to fish. Paul caught a 31" - 11lbs Northern. I also caught a few fish including a 15" Bass.

Paul was Jarrod's confirmation sponsor. Jarrod selected the confirmation name of St. Paul, after our grandpa on mom's side and of his soon to be big brother-in- law.

My family along with the addition of Paul at Jarrod's confirmation this year.
Paul and Jarrod after a home football game.

Paul with my cousin Daniel's daughter Kennedy. She warmed up to Paul really fast, I think she likes being up high, as Paul is much taller than her dad.

Paul enjoys hanging out with his dad Dallas and brother Ben.

Paul graduated from the university on May 5th. We had a great time closing the pizza bar with many friends and family.

Check out the web page that we have created to showcase our summer mural project. Go to www.ops.org/marrs and click on media center, that should take you right to it. ENJOY!

Paul proposed to me on top of a look-out tower in Iowa over-looking the bluffs. We had gone up there to hike, or so I thought.

Paul had his senior football banquet this year. He also received his second conference championship ring.
The wedding is less than a year away, and the famous question from family and friends is... "Do you have everything planned?" The answer... Well we know it is going to be in Omaha, we have the photographer, DJ, reception hall, food, beer, wedding party, and Church. We are working on the wedding list so that we know how much cake to order. My mother says plan for 450 people, with such a large family.

Besides wedding planning Paul and I are enjoying our summer before the big day. Paul has graduated college in Criminal Justice and he has a new job. I am teaching summer school again, however it is really easy because my school has received a grant on diversity so we are creating a mural with students on South Omaha Diversity. Paul and I are looking at getting a house sometime in Novemeber together, so keep checking in to see where we are in our house search.
